Question: Does it matter how many calories you burn over time? By that, I mean- can I work out for five hours today if I know I won’t be able to work out the rest of the week, and have it balance out. Or, do I need to burn a consistent amount per day to lose weight?

A guy that I went to junior high and high school with ran into me at the grocery store yesterday. The first thing he said was,  “Holy shit, you’re thinner than you were in grade 7.”  I couldn’t stop grinning.

I hate it when I’m about to start my period. It makes me so lazy and want to stuff my face. I’m about to start a zumba class, so at least whatever I stuff my face with later, I would have worked for it. I hate periods.

I’m going to stop counting calories. It discourages me when I have a bad day. It’s also not something I’m willing to keep up with. I’m just going to eat healthy, and only when I’m hungry. And we’ll see how well that works for me.

this morning's step workout:
835 cal gone, 350 floors climbed in 60 minutes + 2 minute cooldown. I’m exhausted in the best way.  I’m not sure whether step workouts count as moderate exercise or intense exercise? I need to re-adjust my points for the day based on that. (Moderate: earn 4 points, Intense: earn 10 points).

family frustration.
I am extremely frustrated with my family, my mom in particular. My mom is under the theory that watching my weight = anorexia. Going to the gym = anorexia. A goal without a deadline is just a dream.
According to http://www.losertown.org/eats/cal_act.php (found on matchstickmolly.com), I should be 133.47 on November 29 if I consume 1500 calories a day and I exercise 3-5 times a week. A goal without a deadline is just a dream. So, allowing for human error (days I don’t exercise or days where I go above my calories a day), I want to be 135 by December 1st.

Nine pounds.
I’m at such a plateau in my weight loss. I have been 144 since September 10th, and I continue to weigh 144. It’s good that I’m not gaining weight, but I’m not losing either. I’m becoming seriously discouraged.  Does any one have any suggestions to kick me to get rid of the last nine pounds and get me to be 135?

Nothing makes me feel more sexy than working out. Never mind getting dressed up and putting on makeup. Watching everyone around me get intimidated by how much I’m sweating and pushing myself? It’s such a high. It’s so empowering.
